If you have a spare wheel
We arrive with the right tools and fit your spare safely. A space-saver spare is for temporary use: keep to the speed marked on the wheel and have the damaged tyre repaired or replaced soon.
If you have no spare
Many newer cars carry a sealant kit in place of a spare wheel. Sealant does not fix a split sidewall or a large hole. In that case we load the car and take you to a tyre fitter.
The same applies if the locking wheel nut key is missing, or if more than one tyre is damaged. Tell dispatch when you call.
Do not change a wheel in a dangerous place
Do not try to change a wheel on a motorway hard shoulder or at the edge of a fast road. Move the car to a safe place if it can be moved slowly, switch on your hazard lights and stand away from the traffic.

Do you bring a new tyre with you?
No. We fit the spare wheel you carry. If you have no usable spare, we take the vehicle to a tyre fitter.
What if I have lost my locking wheel nut key?
Tell dispatch when you call. Without the key the wheel cannot be removed at the roadside, so we load the car and take it to a tyre fitter or garage.
How much does a roadside tyre change cost?
The price depends on where you are and what is needed. We agree the price with you on the phone before we set off.
