How the jump start works
Our response vans carry industrial-grade jump packs that start anything from hatchbacks to vans. We connect the pack, start the engine and check that it keeps running.
After a jump start, drive the car for a good while so the battery can recharge. Short trips may not be enough.
Signs of a flat battery
The engine turns slowly or only clicks. The dashboard lights are dim or flicker. The central locking does not respond. These faults are most common in cold weather, after a car has stood unused, or after lights have been left on.
If the car still will not start
A jump start does not fix every fault. A battery at the end of its life, a failed alternator or a starter motor fault needs a garage. If the engine will not run, we can arrange breakdown recovery and take the car to your garage or your home.
